I am saddened that this is happening around the country and hitting close to home in our local community. I had to cradle my crying daughter this morning when she was sobbing about what is happening. Last night we had to cancel my son’s Birthday Party sleepover. He was not happy, but he was understanding. Our decision to close the school is not only about keeping students safe, it’s also about supporting the suppression of the spread of the CoronaVirus.
I mentioned in my Staff Meeting recently that I hope our school can be a “lighthouse” for people in these troubled times. I know that we are not under a mandated legal obligation to close the school. But perhaps we can serve as an example for others in the community. That even though there will be some emotional and financial hardship, we believe we are doing the right thing morally. I also hope that we can be a beacon for our students as well. Even though things will continue to be difficult and stressful, we will still be able to provide some stability and positivity to our students and families.

I am confident that we will get through this, Together!
See You Next Class (albeit streaming),
PS one additional and important note, as a result of this temporary interruption of classes, we will automatically be extending all memberships for a duration equal to the time of the closure. We will ensure that you get the full value of the tuition that you have paid or are paying. This is a time of uncertainty for many people and businesses, and we are asking for your support and patience. We appreciate your understanding that extensions, rather than holds or cancellations, will allow us to ensure that our facilities and staff will be available and ready to serve you upon your return.
